New IChemE /RSC Journal 'Molecular Systems Design & Engineering' now free to access.

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), have joined forces to launch a new journal, Molecular Systems Design & Engineering. The journal is the first in its field and will be freely accessible in 2016 and 2017.

Molecular Systems Design & Engineering will bring together selected disciplines; biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, computational science, and materials science. The journal will focus on understanding molecular properties, behaviour and interactions, and how this can be applied to the design of processes, to solve global technological problems. The first issue will be published in 2016, and submissions are now being invited.

This journal will be free to access for the first two years of publication (2016-2017) – a commitment from both organisations to ensure maximum exposure for authors. The free access is available on registration, and will support both RSC and IChemE’s commitment to investing in cutting-edge research.

PubMed is now available via the CIT Library:

We're pleased to announce that PubMed has now been added to our portfolio of online databases.

Pubmed comprises over 25 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals and online books.

PubMed citations and abstracts include the fields of biomedicine and health, covering portions of the life sciences, behavioural sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering. This resource also provides access to additional relevant web sites and links to the other NCBI molecular biology resources.

PubMed is developed and maintained by the National Centre for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Citations in many cases may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

If you would like to view a series of online tutorials in relation to PubMed, please visit the following link 1.usa.gov/1NNEYQ4 There are also a number of dedicated Youtube resources bit.ly/1UY5pWs
